       For those of you who know me well, you know that I am a Marilyn Monroe fan. Of course the biggest showing of Marilyn's items in Europe I had to go, regardless of distance. Most know her as a sex symbol, but as a nearing unhealthy obsession, I try to get to know the person behind the public image. This exhibition in Basel included her clothing, make-up, photos, and much more personal items. They did such a great job projecting videos, playing her songs, and even showing clips of her most famous movies on an old-looking television. It really showed a more intimate side of her and to be that close to her personal possessions was fascinating. I think it is interesting that a person can pass away but then still live on.
